Growing God's Church

We are reclaiming the Motor Cars Building and remodeling it for office space, the Boy Scouts, sheltering of our vehicles, and our food/disaster relief ministries.

There is an immediate need for enlarged, secure, and updated nursery space. We are also providing for the needs of our growing children's and youth ministries.

The existing structures are sound and remodeling has less expense than new construction.

The projected construction/renovation costs and associate fees will be two million dollars. $700,000 will eliminate our long term debt. $400,000 will allow for the purchase of adjacent properties as they become available.

Financial commitments from our Capital Stewardship Campaign.

The renovations could begin immediately following the approval of the Church Conference in the spring. We are hopeful the project can be completed by the end of the calendar year 2010.

The stewardship campaign seeks financial gifts from members and constituents of Schweitzer to underwrite the construction/building renovation costs and needs to eliminate our debt and provide for additional property purchases for our extended vision.

No. Participation in the campaign is invitational with how much you give being entirely left up to you.

Allow God to speak to your heart through prayer. You are encouraged to read the scripture passages that speak about being good stewards such as 1 Corinthians 16:2, Proverbs 11:25, Proverbs 3: 5-9, 2 Corinthians 8:7, Acts 20:35, Luke 6:38, and Psalm 116:12.

The time of our receiving financial commitments will be three years.

Absolutely! Every gift counts, especially to the giver. You are asked to participate according to your ability.

Commitment cards will be received on Commitment weekend (March 13/14).

Contributions can be made by cash, check or ACH. We are open to other possibilities the donor may have.
