Please join us on Cather Landing (just outside the Hospitality Room) for a prayer walk through our facilities on Sunday, February 21 at 9:25 a.m., 10:30 a.m., or 12:05 p.m. ...
In 1950, the Reverend B. E. Dillon looked across Oak Grove Lane and said: “God told me to build a church there.” So Rev. Dillon approached the Schweitzer family and after telling them of his vision, they donated the land for the church. He even walked up and down the roads in the area asking for money for the new church known as Schweitzer. A small concrete block church was constructed in 1951. The congregation quickly outgrew the little building. After purchasing the old Schweitzer house and five acres of land, the church relocated to our current location. From the small concrete block church to the Schweitzer house on our current property to several building additions/renovations, we are remaining faithful to the original vision: We keep growing God's church!
At Schweitzer we encourage all disciples to WORSHIP consistently, GROW continually, and SERVE sacrificially.
